I think that the title Plain truth doesn't fit the story because the fisher family members weren't honest at all with their situation. Katie was always in denial about her pregnancy and how the baby wasn't hers so Jodi Piccoult should have named it something else.
I think the meaning of the title The Plain Truth is the truth of the Amish. The fact that we all jump to conclusions without going to the ground of it. We base a person on what they're culture and beliefes are.
i think the meaning Plain truth is basically the truth, but interpreted in a different way. It relates to the story because Katie tells the truth in her own way, not the way people suspected she will. Also I think Plain truth is referred to the "Plain" lifestyle of the Amish.
I think the title Plain Truth tells about the truth about “plain” people. The truth is that Amish people are not that different from us. They go through the same drama we face each day in our lives. Even a young Amish girl can make mistakes and become pregnant just like many other teenagers who are not Plain. =)
I think the title Plain Truth fits the Novel. It relates to the story because in the storry is revealed the truth about the amish, plain, people. It divulged that the amish people face similar problems that other people face in the regular world, such as a teenage girl having a baby out wedlock or teenagers getting into trouble. Even though these event happen rarely in the amish community it still happens though.
I think the title is a good title because the characters in the book live a plain life and they are suppose to tell the truth. I think the title Plain Truth is saying Katie told the Plain Truth. Yes she did have a baby and when she woke up the baby was gone.So she told the Plain Truth.
The meaning of the book’s title, Plain Truth, comes from the lifestyle Katie lives in. Amish people consider themselves to be “plain” because their standard of living is very basic. Under the regulations of the Ordnung, the Amish bible, society must live apart from the modernized world without anything creating attention towards an individual. Therefore, one must always be genuine and truthful. When a Plain person stands out, they are shunned. To go against “that similarity of identity,” would not be considered to be the Plain Truth.
I felt that the meaning of plain truth in the story was that Katie was a "plain" girl who believed she was telling the "truth". Well to tell you the truth I didn't like the book, therefore probably missed out on the jist of the meaning of the story =[.
the tittle plain truth fits the novel perfectly because as Mr. theo said today in calss the amish are very plain wen it comes down to dress code and life style and they must aslways fallow the rules or the amish bibble ordnung. so in the novel katie attracting so much attention to her self is not normal to the amish.
I think that Plain Truth is a good title for the novel becuase in the story Katie denies she had a baby but in reality she did, which was the "plain" and simple "truth."

I think the title of the book, Plain Truth, means to be able to tell the truth all the time but there might be times that you can't tell the truth. The title goes with the novel because even though Katie was denying that she didn't have the baby, she eventaully told the truth on what really happened and Sarah also told what happened to Katie's baby.
I think the title Plian Truth relates to Katie in a way beacuse she is Amish and the Amish live a very palin lifetyle. And also Katie told the truth at the end even after all of the lies she told.
I think that the title of the book "Plain Truth" fits good with the story itself because of the way the Amish people live. They dont really get involved with the outside world or out their community. Also the truth about Amish people their selves !
I agree with what Jenny said because what she said about the amish people is true that under the regulations of the Ordnung, the Amish bible, society must live apart from the modernized world without anything creating attention towards an individual. Therefore, one must always be genuine and truthful. When a Plain person stands out, they are shunned. To go against “that similarity of identity,” would not be considered to be the Plain Truth.
I think that the title The Plain Truth fits the book very well due to the fact that the Amish have a Plain Lifestyle and are raised to be honest in the eyes of God. Even though in the book we see that the Katie tried to tell the truth but she simply didn't know what happened that night, but its interesting that in such a plain town that something so non-plain can happen.
